Can I Download a New A7 CSoC Design to My EPI Dev-A7 using EPI’s JEENI® or MAJIC® JTAG Probes?

You can use EPI’s JEENI or MAJIC JTAG probes to debug your application program running on the A7’s embedded ARM7TDMI processor. The A7 includes a JTAG debugging path that is 100% compatible with ARM7TDMI JTAG path.

However, in order to download a new CSoC configuration image using FastChip Device Link (FDL), you also need a JTAG download probe supported by FastChip. Currently, these two JTAG probes are supported.

These probes are included with some Triscend FastChip software packages. You can also order the Macraigor Wiggler separately, either from Triscend as part number THW-DWL-CAB, or directly from Macraigor Systems LLC as part number WNPJ-ARM-20.
